I've finally decided to follow in my daughter, Mary's footsteps and get the lapband. She has SUCH a wonderful story, and you can read her blog and see her 1 year band-iversary photos she just took this past month here:

I figured I'd start a blog like she did, and get the support of others who have gotten the lapband. I'm kind of nervous about the whole thing, but seeing the change in her life... I can't see me NOT getting it.

I am 5' 3"... And last week I weighed 220 lbs. This morning, 212. I have fluctuated between 210 and 220 off and on for the past 17 years. I'm READY for a change!!
